Never in doubt.
Hope Pauli starts winning games now and manage to stay up!
We can’t really close down a match.
Emre Can the hero 😂😭
Probably the worst win I’ve ever seen from this team lmao but I’m glad we got the three points. If Kovac can’t figure out how to get the team to hold on to leads he’s going to be gone after the season
Drei Pünkte sind drei Pünkte!
Thats Dortmund but we actually pulled trough today. Karim-Silva-Brandt were great in attack and Can and Anton were also really important to keep the initial zero. Really unhappy with Schlottis game and want us to finally publically support Adeyemi and push for a extension.
Win is a win. But seriously why we having such a hard time securing a lead..
Wow what a game. 1st goal never should have happened, ref completely botched the foul on Schlotti that led to it. 2nd goal was amazing from Pauli they love to score bangers on us.
This feels so much like the end of last season where we just grinded and kept pushing on, I’m so happy to see that.
Great game from Jobe, people love to be harsh on him but he was moving the ball well, covering every defensive position left open and made some great passes. Silva once again is just a joy to watch play for us.
Good wins to go into CL this week against Spurs let’s go!
Man we’ve scored 9 goals in 3 games which is the big area we have needed to address but it still feels like I’m watching horrible football. I don’t understand it.
For the last 11 years we have been dreadful at defending corners and set pieces, often throwing games away because of them… but in the last 11 years we always somehow manage to score late in the game to salvage it!
Some subs were diabolical.
Guirassy may have a better scoring record, but with Fábio Silva on the team will do better and score more.
Beier is the new Schürrle, runs fast in a straight line and shoots fairly hard, but that’s about it. (yes I know he got the penalty, but still…)
Duranville might as well be replaced by a second keeper sub if there is never any intention of playing him.
We love losing or almost losing games that we should absolutely win
One of those pens that would never have been given without VAR
These last minutes deciding goals need to stop we can’t rely on it as often as we do for wins. Its just gambling
Did not look good, but that is because the two best players we have had a meh game today. Uncharacteristically poor game from Nmecha. Svennson was poor. Brandt outside the goal had really poor touches. Jobe was ok. Adeyemi was bad until he assisted and thenn was great.
Another day in paradise
Glad that it was a win, because it was madness. So happy to see the boys celebrating again. Can on pen duty, never in doubt. Silva makes me hopeful, he couldn’t score but the attack felt way bettern when he was on.
Angry and disappointed that the win had to come from a last minute pen instead of closing the game properly
Kovac-ball still does not convince me at all. Sure we are still second but Holy Poop, way too many games thrown away + boring AF play style + late AF subs that make no sense
Putting Guirassy on is like taking a player out at this point, Fucking hell. Bro does not contribute.
Lost a 2-0 lead and Pauli were closer to scoring the 2-3 until we got a very very lucky penalty. I don‘t care about xG, this was a very lucky win.
[lol haters. Can single handedly tearing shit up. Who got us that 3:2? Not Guirassy or Silva. Emre Can just saved you. lol.](https://i.postimg.cc/Kc5xy6Mg/lolhaters-emre.jpg)
That first goal never should’ve happened because of the foul on Schlotti prior to that corner kick. The second goal was a typical once in a lifetime goal against Dortmund. The Freiburg goal by Höler and Dahoud’s goal comes to mind.
It wasn’t pretty, but we secured three points and that is all that counts.
Have a nice evening everyone.
Emre Can made my day. Thank you. What a beautiful game.
W LETS GO
Obviously not a pretty win and I don’t think we played particularly well. Still people here make it out worse than it was. Pauli got incredibly lucky to score twice there. Like two dead balls, both defended pretty tightly. Both won’t go in 9/10 times. So yes we got bailouted in the end and yes we have to keep playing aggressive to close out games and not allow dead ball situations, but I don’t think we made any massive defensive blunders or actively choked anything.
never in doubt. We won.
we need to work on our defense again tho ffs
Positives: I thought Jobe, Can, Anton, Silva, and Ryerson had good games with Adeyemi and Brandt also being productive. Also people are mad that we left it late but if you ask me winning games like this is what top teams do. Wasn’t the prettiest but we got a lot of good opportunities, their goals were individual luck, and then we bag the winner when we needed it. Years ago people were mad because we COULDN’T pull off something like we did today.
Negatives: Our attack can’t consistently combine and we are sloppier than we should be. I also hated this Svensson performance. He didn’t create anything in attack, he was weak physically all game, and gave up the goal in defense.
Homestly extending Can for the penalty taking and his determination would not be the best idea. That monster run into the box to almost hand Beier a goal set the tone to fight back and get the last minute goal
Once again everyone is just taking the score at face value. Yes, our play is sloppy at times but we were definitely the better team with the better chances. Their first goal shouldn’t have happened at all and their second was a certified banger.
It is frustrating that we keep getting put in these situations but they had a goal line clearance, Brandt was a foot away from scoring the FK, and we had some good chances if we had better touches.
We don’t play the most attractive football but we are in a great position and you guys need to find a way to make peace with that. Too many miserable comments after years of worse results in the league.
We are on track to have more points than the season we tied against Bayern. Bayern just happen to also have the best first half of a season ever
I have respect for Pauli. They must stay in the League. Peace.
Both of their goals came from missed calls by the ref so I don’t feel bad one bit.
yeah, we got 3 points but what else did we get? A super lucky pen to decide the match. We conceded 2 goals against an injury ridden bottom table team. And that team has the worst attack in the league. And in 2 out of their 17 games, that team scored basically 30% of its total goals this season against one team – and that’s us. And it’s just like last game – on paper, it looked great, in reality, it was awful and the team is drowning in the swamp of terrible play without anyone noticing.
