West Ham United have been linked to Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha as Graham Potter looks to strenghten his squad in the summer transfer window. Palhinha joined the Bundesliga giants for £43m but has struggled for minutes under Vincent Kompany. Geo and Frankie discuss the rumour, European football and why the Southampton game is a big one for Graham Potter

Geo has done a Premier League preview/predictions video for all 10 games this weekend, if anyone is nosey, interested or very bored then you can click here to watch it: https://youtu.be/-xBSK2fYlYk?si=TF7OjpAptmV85qi6
This was meant to be a video for tomorrow morning (hence why we say 'today' in regards to the match) but unfortunately the Saints fan who was meant to be in todays video, has pulled out so we've had a little shuffle of content and HOPEFULLY I can find a Southampton fan for this afternoon!
Thanks for tuning in – we discuss missing European football, the link to Palhinha and then onto the Saints game!
Hope you enjoy the chat and I shall catch up with you all in the comments section

The clubs a shambles under Sullivan. We got rid of the manager who found a way to operate with some success under Sullivan’s regime. For me it’s unlikely that will happen again. It took all the stars alining for it to happen ( including COVID). There’s no identity or strategy under Sullivan and all you can do is keep your fingers crossed and look to the heavens.
i think that maybe a top 19 position is in order next season, and im expecting a half decent win on sat.
Wouldnt it be fun if west ham season ticket holders had their own trip advisor page!
YouTube can twist melons. Like slush. Strange 'take'.
It's SWYER not Sawyer Grrrrrrr!
I wonder what the atmosphere would be if the London Stadium hosted a major European game / Final.
I don’t think a win today gives us anything for next season.
It would be good to get Frankie’s views on exactly which under 21’s players will take the next step .
Just sick and tired of us signing 30 plus year old hasbeens looking for a decent last pay day , and aren't we the oldest squad already in the league
Just on those European nights – the other day my mate sent me a photo memory that had come up on his phone of 5 of us in O’Neill’s in Brentwood waiting for one of those Europa league games to start. Beaming and bang up for it. We got together for weeks in a row doing that, on a week night, we hadn’t done that for years. We don’t do it for PL games, they’re 10 a penny. You don’t get a pass from the fam to go out on the piss with the lads on a school night for West Ham v Brentford on a Monday. They were special, those Thursday nights. I’m right with you, miss them and want it back.
Best 3 years in my lifetime when it comes to European football. I’ll forever be grateful & happy I got to experience the journey. Unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to go abroad but went to all home matches. Was at the parade with my father, wished I had my son with me. But however the owners are so far part, very distant from the fans. We are like oil and water, we will never mix. It never bothered me if the opposition was a SK Rapid Wien to a Sevilla, it was just a fantastic experience to be there. We can all have faith for the future & maybe look back on what could have been. But I am glad we did have 3 years in European football. We’ve had Europa League & conference. Champions League is a little bit difficult to achieve especially with the likes of, Brighton Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest keep improving. Imo we let the gap between us and them close. We now need to back Potter with transfers and get rid of the players that don’t fit his system. We also need to utilise the Academy lads. Give them a good chance not 60 seconds during the extra time during second half. Next season is very important to gain back some confidence, Bowen needs to drill it into the players as captain that next season getting back into European football is the main goal. I also want us to compete in the League & FA Cup. Last 16 has to be the minimum target. 20/21 we were 3 points away from champions league football.
For both sentimental & culture reasons I would keep Cresswell & Antonio (If he is fit enough for a football return) we have loss so many players that understood and loved West Ham (Oggy, Lanzini, Fornals, 41 (Judas) & obviously Noble: we lack player identity who will give it to players when needed. We got too many foreigners who lacks the bollocks. Bowen is a soft lad (not slagging him off) but he ain’t aggressive or someone who would want a reaction from the squad when things are bad or when a player doesn’t do their job. Kilman said he ain’t an aggressive captain. For me 41 was not a good captain he was very soft.
Frankie obviously never went to the Gent – Freiburg – Lyon – Leverkusen games at home ?!?!
Your funny… dream on 😂😂😂
Potts was excellent today against Norwich,he is the only youth player who should be in our squad next season.
Palinha rumour I hope is a load of BS,would be a ridiculous buy at 43mill
West Ham need to rename the stadium as The London Charity Stadium as we love giving away too many points on our own turf with is 27 pts so far
how much?
Another ''last chance'' to renew, haha yea right'O!! That aside, good vid.
We've got the oldest squad in the PL yet BOTH of you would still be happy to drop 25mil of our summer budget on an old carthorse on Bayern's bench?? Some of our fans deserve all they get.
No matter who the manager, Director of football, Head of Recruitment, or the goblin leading the search is, we’re ALWAYS linked with the same players. Paulinha, En Nesyri, Walker-Peters, Calum Wilson.. the list goes on. Evidence enough that our transfer ‘strategy’ is non-existent and we’re effectively run by agents. We knew that anyway. European football should be the aim, as it always should be next season, but we are miles away from it and I fear that we’ll go backwards. We have 4 excellent players with 2 of them off in the summer anyway. A couple of top half PL quality players, the rest pond dwellers. Nowhere near good enough for a club with a 62,000 seater stadium. We are a poorly run, poxy club and Ive never been so disengaged.
I couldn’t disagree more, atmosphere at the Frankfurt game was great
We let a goal in after a minute from what I remember, that didn’t help
You two have been bloody miserable and I can't carry on watching
