Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic has called on his side to make the country “proud” and defeat surprise package Morocco in the 2022 FIFA World Cup third-place play-off match at the Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar on Saturday.
Dalic’s side lost 3-0 in the semi-finals to Argentina, while Morocco’s dream run at the tournament was ended by defending champions France in the last four stage.
Croatia, who were runners-up in Russia 2018, finished third in the 1998 World Cup in France, which Dalic remarked was “the beginning of a very shiny period of football achievements for the country.”
Dalic also said he expected 37-year-old playmaker Luka Modric to continue playing for the Croatia national team at Euro 2024 in Germany.

Modric's first big international tournament was:
The 2006 world cup in Germany
The 2024 EURO in Germany
will be his last. A circle would be completed!😍
