Darren James Lockyer (born 24 March 1977 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league television commentator and former player. An Australia international and Queensland State of Origin representative captain, Lockyer spent his entire professional career with Brisbane Broncos and is frequently hailed as one of the Greatest Players of all-time.

Definitely the best player in the World from 1998-2011,to say Johns, Fittler and Terry Campese were better then him especially towards the end of his Career was a Joke none of them Won and Captained in the same Caldener year a Club Premiership,State of Origin and Test Series's but Lockyer Did.

Being a kiwi were blessed with the all blacks. Lockyer is one of the greats of league. But only as good as a Damien mckenzie in comparison to the mighty all blacks. Wouldn't even make a starting line up.

Lockyer was the player you went to when the moment needed him, always in the right position and always ready for the moment. From a interception to a field goal or a set up play to desperation play of the ball, he was the man you wanted there. All hail the football god Darren Lockyer!
