💪🏼 HARRY MAGUIRE! Use storytelling and children’s role models to bring your sessions to life!
In this session, I used Harry Maguire as the defender the children had to beat.
I told the group, “Imagine you’re up against Maguire. He’s tall, strong, and hard to get past – so you’ve got to avoid 1v1 contact and try to turn away from him.”
This immediately got the kids thinking about the skills they needed: feints, quick changes of direction, and clever footwork to outsmart a tough defender.
The kids absolutely loved the challenge of trying to outplay “Harry Maguire” on the pitch!
