  1. But what happened when Salah was hauled down at Anfield against Villa earlier in the season… what happened there? Newcastle last week? To be fair Arsenal fans blame the ball… United don’t have money for lunch anymore and Spurs just make up the numbers!

  2. As a tackle it is a clear foul. He pushes him from behind, which is not allowed. The two reasons this to be not a red card are that Barcola has no clear control of the ball (debatable) and second thing its too early in the game (which is no reason again). As a neutral fan it's a red card, Konate was behind him, Barcola was getting ready to finish.

  3. It’s neither foul nor red card — blatant dive! Strikers (and maybe goalies too) have become a protected species in football; they cannot be touched and defenders are left to do their jobs with hands literally tied behind their backs.

Time for better rules. Intentional diving should be cautioned or penalized.

  4. Das war sauber direkt rote Karte. Das ist sehr unverständlich. Das ist am saubersten Foul. Schiedsrichter hat große Fehler gemacht.

  5. a feather would have pushed over Barcola – not strong enough to fend off close body contact or too easily going to ground trying to milk a foul. Play on in my view.

  6. You run as fast as you can, someone pushes you in your back, you fall down. Obviosuly he fell down because he was pushed from behind, obviuosly it was not shoulder to shoulder. Was it too soft ? I repeat, at that speed any push in the back and you fall down. If you allow this, you shoud always allow pushes in the back and not consider it a faul.

  7. it's beyond pathetic that this is even discussed as a fucking foul, there is absolutely nothing in that. People are fucking crazy

  8. No way he clearly slows down amd induces the collision he is hoping Konate would collide in the box , if this was anywhere else on the pitch both players stay up challenging for the ball , the player just falls , his arm isn't up a " push' needs a hard or elbow , 2 players colliding is not a foul ? If Macalister can get kicked in the chest inside the box at Man City and no foul this incident is a mile away from this ?

  9. It wasn’t even a foul in the first place because it was too soft.. at the most it could be given a foul but 90% referee won’t give a foul for these soft pushes especially in around the D-Area. If it was in the middle of the pitch then, the ref will give foul and that’s it, and no yellow, let alone Red.
