    Former goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler spoke with Sky Sports News about World Cup Golden Glove winner Emiliano Martínez.

    He spoke about convincing the Argentine to join Aston Villa from Arsenal, receiving a phone call from Martinez after he won the World Cup and what the future holds for him.

      Dear FIFA President, Mr. Gianni Infantino:

      During the victory ceremony yesterday, as an Argentina fan (married to an Argentinian), I was shocked and embarrassed while watching the Awards with my children, husband, and parents to see what the Argentina Goalkeeper did in front of over a billion people watching. He took his Golden Glove Award and used it to make a lewd, disgraceful, and shameful gesture around his private parts! A photo is attached.

      FIFA should take back this award from the Argentina Goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez. Otherwise, FIFA will be sending a message that this is an acceptable behaviour. FIFA should clearly and loudly distance itself from such behaviour. He does not deserve this award, and FIFA will be setting a good example that such lewd behaviour has no place in the World Cup and will never be tolerated!

      If any thing to go by, in the modern game of football tournament, penalties is a must part to practise. If anyone knows football, take a penalty of fa Cup and take a penalty in the semi-final of any cup game in national team. It is completely different story, the amount of pressure, just ask Harry keane. The penalty kick which have to be every last practices section 4 any world
      Class player. It is so much psychology, if it take it away, just ask Alan shear, what he does in every last practise section.

      Real shame that Unai didn't retain Cutler when he came into the Villa job. One of the best in the business of GK coaching and highly respected.

      I've said for the last 2 seasons he's the best keeper in the world. He just gets underrated because hes at villa with Tyrone mings in front of him making pinpoint passes to the oppositions strikers every week

      I wonder what his parents, if he have, what his wife, his children think about this moove, u non muslims have no respect , esspecially for us.. this guy is in a country where the rule is sharia, gods laws ruling there Not men made laws, but its normal for u guys, bcs shame was never a feeling for u.       However. They should have taken back the Glove immediately for this obscenity which is not funny when you’re watching football with family especially children…
      Clearly Martinez has mental health issues which need to be addressed professionally. People who think it’s funny to make obscene gesture in public also need a check up as it’s not the norm in decent society, only animal kingdoms like porn and Hollywood…He has insulted millions of viewers across the globe with his ill considered gesture…

      Martinez must make a sincere apology via FIFA to football fans and anyone he has offended as he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world…

      He has worked very hard for many years to earn this much respect winning the World Cup Final saving goals including penalties but lost it instantly on morality, character, personality, censorship and ethics within a matter of a few seconds…
      He showed no respect to the honour given to him by Qatar and FIFA perhaps because he has had very uncultured upbringing…
      Aston Villa should reconsider his position if he doesn’t issue a global apology for his distasteful behaviour.
