Both have been poor this season. So many games in PL & CL, we have lost due to bad goal keeping. We need proper goal stoppers. Allison & Raye have been proper goal stoppers. I won’t mind trying new younger & aggressive goal keepers who can do their job. Assists are good but goal stopping wins the games.
I’d still like Ederson to stay.. He was unlucky against Forest as there was a slight deflection off Gvardiol. Overall I think he’s been exceptional and a great entertainer. James Trafford and Diogo Costa look like the best alternatives if they both go.
I believe that Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Ake, Walker, KDB, Silva, Kovacic, Gundogan, Grealish should all leave for mutual benefits. They all wanted to leave last year (or two) and some did (Gundogan), but some did not find the right team. 1 yr contract extensions to Ortega (1st choice goalkeeper), Foden,. Majority of City's players have nothing to play for. They are sort of spoiled, but this is excused. Full squad overhaul is necessary and this is about right time. May be a bit late and should have started that at the end of last season.
I think we need to see this team with Rodri and Nico playing side by side before there’s a mass exodus. Ederson kicking is key to that next season and kdb
