Balde is a baller, with a lot of experience and game time he could be better than alba for sure. I really love how Barca played yesterday, all player's positions are very narrow and making it easier to pass the ball and break Bilbao's defense, this is what we lack but with this system, Barca's playstyle becomes fluid and Dembele got a lot of spaces to use his ability to the fullest. However, if we play like this we sacrifice one of the wingers, maybe Xavi could play this system along with the usual 4 3 3 depending on the opponent. However, Frenkie has to be the first-choice pivot, busi just can't keep up with high-intensity games and need another pivot like Frenkie to cover his weakness, especially against a top European club that demands a lot of intensity and physicality

Alba is still crucial for this Barce team but it's good we Xavi give him some rest in some games. However, you are right with you analysis on that. For me I pick Alba against Bayern over balde

I won't lie I'm no fan of Alba mainly due to his very poor technical ability and sub par defending but Balde's lack of movement is a problem for me and Alba is really exceptional at that. I had to swallow my pride after Villarreal and admit he's second to none. I saw so many opportunities for Balde to make runs this game but the boy just stood there waiting to receive the ball at his feet. Alba should mentor him if he can get the movement right he will be our best LB yet. I mean he has the pace, skill, technique and defensive ability if he masters the movement he'll have the complete package. I also have to admit these past two games have changed my perspective on Xavi however, the criticism was warranted and I still stand my ground on him playing Busi. He slows the game down and makes more back passes than progressive ones not to mention he's always losing the ball in bad situations.

dembele is good when playing teams that that put a low block rather they attack like these top teams and even his goal against Chelsea was because conte turned Chelsea to a team that presses which was opposite of what they were before him.
dembele can excel even playing against low block team if he doesn't try to dribble except in 1v1 and against low block team I would prefer him to cut in to the middle so he can give through pass and similar with balde and Jordi alba as you mentioned
ferran is good against low block team on the wings and he can cause damage to any team when he is inform and inside the box

Xavi is obviously the biggest fan of Hansi Flicks Bayern from 2020…its crazy how much he's taking from him. I would bet Hansi flick is Xavi's coaching idol…(and yes im aware of guardiola BUT) i just cant see it being any other way, its literally 1 to 1 at times. Soo close he bases his tactics on 2020 Munich. Especially the set ups flick used in the CL games against Lyon, Barcelona etc. Just total domination, through pressing and the middle and sides…BUT not necessarily complete Possession( thats why not Guardiola). Just….domination. While barca of old (Guardiola) was the exact opposite…total possession NOT necessarily domination, and through that possession you then win games. While NOW and in flicks 2020 munich its THROUGH the domination the pressing you alos have a lot of posession at the ned of the game…because at best the opposite team just…gives up and goes defensive to not be overrun.

Balde has excellent potential, his progressive dribbles speed and technical ability is great at this age, he can develop physically and if he improves his off ball movement, overlapping runs etc. and his crossing he could become elite at LB

Jordi alba's ability to control the left wing is base on his sheer use of space, time, position and movement on and off the ball during attacks and buildup to stretch the field and create passing options. He is not known for 1v1 dribbling. In contrast at the moment blades efectiveness is based on his exceptional dribbling ability and speed, if he can learn from Jordi's movement on the pitch how to use space and manage his forward run with and without the ball he will definitely become as Jordi once was and still is one of the best on left-backs in the world. Unfortunately both of them are way better going forward than static defending as is common with Barcelona fullbacks.
