Luton Town’s captain, Tom Lockyer, is currently in stable condition at the hospital following a cardiac arrest on the field during their Premier League match against Bournemouth.
Lockyer collapsed during the 59th minute of the game and was attended to by medical staff before being carried off on a stretcher.
Referee Simon Hooper then led both teams off the pitch at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, and the match was subsequently called off.
