Burnley’s defensive record really is ridiculous.
They’re surely going to set a new record for the fewest goals conceded in a 46-match Football League season (Port Vale let in 21 in the 1953–54 Third Division North), and they might also beat Chelsea’s 15 goals conceded during the 2004–05 PL campaign — I think that is the best defensive record in any Football League/Premier League season since 1888–89.
