I'm back again with another post that took way too long to make.
We've spent so long talking about the famed 12th Place Cup, but now it finally has a physical form (sort of).
It's bespoke design is inspired by the shape of a dustbin, to remind the winner of which performances earned them their title. It also lacks any handles, so as to represent how the winner never got a good grip of the season.
I hope to be able to release the 3D model of this trophy in the near future, so that people may be able to 3D Print their own (providing the Mods greenlight it).
There are also plenty more posts I have planned for the rest of the season, concerning the 12th Place Cup, where we will look back on past winners, discuss who's in the running to win, and ask ourselves what it truly means to be mediocre.
On the final day of the season, I also plan to make a matchday programme, giving you all the info you need for who could take the title.
For now though, I hope you enjoy this short reveal.

I understand the dustbin idea.
But part of me would really like it to be half a replica of the actual Championship trophy. Like, split down the middle either vertically or horizontally.

I hope it’s not too tall. I think it’s missing somthing like a 9V battery or a meal deal ham sandwich sitting next to it to get across how unimpressive the height of the trophy should be.
Could Bristol City make a late dash for the cup, from an unhealthily lofty position in the Championship?!
One note, I really think at the crescendo of the music you should have a choir singing “The 12th Place” in a similar style to the Champions League. Make it a bit more elite, you know?
