Edwin van der Sar: ‘Ajax’s Daley Blind is not going to Manchester United’

It’s been a busy week for Edwin van der Sar in the transfer gossip columns.

Just a few days ago Van der Sar got plenty of people talking when the former Manchester United goalie, now an Ajax board member, was spotted at Manchester United’s training ground.
That sighting lead to suggestions that Van der Sar could be discussing the much vaunted potential transfer of Daley Blind to Old Trafford, however on Wednesday in Monaco at the Champions League draw, the former Dutch international keeper downplayed those claims.

Van der Sar told reporters:

At the moment Daley is our player. We are really happy with him… He came as a young boy, at 8, and that’s the philosophy of Ajax.
