Everton gave every ounce of fight and passion to ensure the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park did not end in defeat as James Tarkowskiโ€™s stunning injury-time equaliser secured a 2-2 draw on a memorable night fitting for the Grand Old Lady.

Beto had given the Blues an 11th-minute lead, but Liverpool scored through Alexis Mac Allister and Mohammad Salah – only for Tarkowski to have the final say in the 98th minute.

  1. The game was like a final to them and one team fights for titles and one team fights for safety just to avoid relegation and that is their mentality and everton is a small team that fights for survival

  3. Liverpool fan here, enjoyed the match and Everton deserved the point, they played non stop so no issues there but the referee Oliver was beyond belief, why didn't he give a foul at the end after Salah was brought down? The state of refereeing in the PL stinks and is corrupt.
