Such a joy to hear from a professional footballer who seems simply delighted to be on the pitch. There are so many 'big' players that have forgotten what a privilege it is. They may have the talent and the drive, but it still takes a little bit of luck to be born in the right town, have the right youth setup, come up through a good system,and then have the opportunity when you're still young.

Emery picked him up in January last year for 8 mil. This young man could go on to Captain the club for as long as he’d like at this rate. Quality and class both on and off the pitch.

As a Villa fan of over 50 years I have seen the ups and the downs. In all that time this is the greatest collection of talent we have ever assembled. Wonderful times to be a Villa fan. UTV

Do they not realise he played for England in the last game.
This lad is top notch and his ability general play he brings is why unai doesn’t take him off. I think from where he was to now it’s a brilliant piece of business for Villa. The only side Villa don’t compete against and got decked was against Newcastle and Rodger’s wasn’t good. Otherwise yeh Villa can complete for top 4. As I said countless times (to the disgust of deluded Villa fans) they’d struggle this season in the league a bit more which they have bcos of injuries and cos of extra games. They’ve gone from top 3/4 threat to top 7/8 ish, and that’s due to what I said. Like it or not.
Once again they’ve unlike us been able to add. They’ve so much depth now. Okay a few players have moved on, they’ll get niggles as Morgan mentioned, but providing they play with this confidence and intensity and keep things tight at the back they can do it. Also the signing of Malen
