  1. "If you speak to Shaqiri he is very honest and believes he is up there with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo"…. Well good luck to him. On Lyon official website they state that they only paid an initial fee of 6 million euros, about 5.5 million GBP. Cheap as chips!

  2. I reckon he was a decent player but he really only ever performed when he felt he had a point to prove. Thankfully they were in some big games but put him on against fulham on a sunday afternoon and he'd go missing for most the game

  3. Ah such a shame from my point of view. Will always remember the Man U game. Bizarelly he wanted away last year as well… I hope this is the right move for him, I always thought the stars would aline and he would become a consistent starter. YNWA

  4. as a Swiss Liverpool supporter I'm quite happy to see him leave. He performed admirable in a Liverpool shirt, especially in the 19/20 season. I remember two really lucky but great goals against United and an assist in the Anfield miracle against Barca… But I'm also glad, that he will get more playing time. He was barely fit enough to play 60' per game at the euros…

  5. Sad see him leave , goals against blue nose he loved them the 2 against the Manc scum red half / Jose sacked after it brilliant cheers and his performance to win the champions league that game ba Barca 💯all best shaq

  6. We we're a better team with him. I'll never understand Klopp stance on him and why he didn't play more. Then again I didn't understand why he chose karius for so long either. It's weird because he's obviously one of the best coaches in the world but certain things just Baffle me.

  7. Good luck with that.
Shaqiri is inconsistent and disappointing as a club footballer. Ask anyone from Bayern Munich, Stoke or Liverpool.
Like Pogba and France, Shaqiri saves his best performances for Switzerland.

  8. Came as a squad player and did his job. No complaining, always professional. Helped us win trophies and now just wants to play every week so can’t fault that. Good luck to him. 5-10 million is a steal in today’s market

  9. Will never forget the time Shaq came on as a sub against Man U, scored 2 goals, single handedly got Mourinho sacked and topped it all off by doing Mourinho’s celebration. What a 🐐.

  10. I am sorry to see him leave and wish him all the best, but I will find it strange if Liverpool allow Xerdan to leave but retain Divock Origi when the window closes.
I know which one I would keep, given the choice.
Harvey Elliott will more than fill the gap however, and these are exciting times for Liverpool supporters.
