  1. It buys us time to move for Ugbo. Think we all like him. An early move is possible now and should we hit a snag it gives us more time to hit other targets. If we'd have waited till after 14th July, and then hit a snag we would have been behind on alternatives. We will now be stronger on two fronts.

  2. Won't get a better chance if DR really wants him. Must admit that for the price he will cost, is there someone else who would be more prolific. I know he scored some great goals. But his goal to game ratio is not that great. Last season we were the lowest scorers by a mile. We need someone who can score 15-20 goals a season. Can he do this. I trust DR to make the right choice because if we buy him then we will have spent the best part of our budget if not all of it on one player.

  3. Tbh I can see this being a negative for us. If Ugbo wants to play for his country, and I assume he very much does… but playing well for us doesn't get him in the squad.. then is he not likely to look elsewhere, to have a better shot at international involvement? Seemingly doing the business for us, isn't enough to convince the Canadian manager to pick him. :/

  4. Tbh mate, I really think that, whilever Danny's in charge, the days of us pissing about in the transfer market are over for now. Danny wants them in quickly, and so far, DC seems to be listening to him.
