Ajax captain Jordan Henderson has hit back at the reports in the Dutch media that he no longer wanted to play for the club or be the skipper of the team following an alleged failed move to French club Monaco.

The 34-year-old was involved in a fiery post-match press conference after Ajax claimed bragging rights over arch rivals Feyenoord following a 2-1 win in ‘De Klassieker’ on Sunday.

That win has moved Ajax to within two points of league leaders PSV albeit with a game in hand.

  1. I like Jordan, I think he's a tremendous pro. However, it is about details, some details need to be explored. I hope he speaks more clearly about it and explains the situation.
