amorim is absolutely the best thing that could have happened for bruno. he doesn't need an arm round the shoulder he responds better to kick in arse : ) just needs instructions , lots of responsibility , and proper priorities.
hes bit of paradox hes wonderful talent and incredibly hard working. he didn't work hard for his level if that makes sense though… hes just got it always has. that makes him somewhat hard to relate to in a way i think. always fit,healthy, hustling its the emotions that are his undoing. hes genuinely kind person and ultra competitive just not macho or self promoter . in age that can fall for superficial hes all substance over style.
hes accepted armband and massive wages so he must accept the scrutiny and responsibility as well. lot of frustration is justified ,as hes been frustrated on field himself, so he knows his performance has not been good enough. last few games since rock bottom against wolves , i hope : ), hes been player hes capable of. credit to amorim and teammates for collective efforts. making it unacceptable to try to take the match on himself. hes desperate to win and that trust/confidence amorim is instilling has had massive impact .
bruno always leads the stats and his sheer ability alone ,that every other coach and squad respects, requires so much attention on pitch it makes game easier for every other teammate . now hes also leading by example as well and empowering other players …..hes maturing as captain. it took amorim to create accountability and culture for that though. its not that fans didn't know how important or good he is. they just knew, like he did, that thee was more to give. glad to see it. may it continue and continue to improve. onto something special, but need to roll Southampton GGMU ✌
