Pretty sure that Ballon d'Or was a rigged. Andres Iniesta should have won it because of the Spain's World Cup win, while Messi scored nothing with Argentina in the World Cup at that time. Wesley Sneijder was even phenomenal, as he led the Netherlands to the World Cup Final, while his club had won the Treble the same year with Inter Milan.

The crazy thing was that Iniesta and Xavi had legitimate arguments to win it over Messi too so it goes to show the extreme level of their game.
