Manchester City expert Steven McInerney from Esteemed Kompany shares his thoughts on what the Citizens’ transfer priorities should be now that the January window has opened.

Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to be active this month in a bid to turn their fortunes around and they have been tipped to strengthen in both defence and midfield.

The likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Martin Zubimendi, Ola Aina, Antonee Robinson and Juma Bah have all been linked with a possible switch to the Etihad Stadium, and McInerney tells Sports Mole why the former would be his “ideal signing” at Man City.

  1. Without knowing the outcome of the court case ongoing, Man City may have an issue in persuading players good enough to improve the side to come in this window.

Bruno is out of the question. He is very happy at Newcastle, Newcastle have made him captain, and is is not for sale.

  2. Bruno to City is about as boring as Isak to the Arse. Show the Toon and their players some respect, we have a great team and its getting better. Bruno loves the Toon, we love him and his Dad. Hands off he's not for sale!!!
Oh and no dont even think about Lewis Hall as your L/B.🤣🤣

  3. Hahaha your forgetting newcastles owners make cities owners look like a corner shop… bruno is going no where, why would he move to a club in disarray and could go to the championship next season? 😂
