  1. Why does there have to be THE biggest problem? Why just blame one person for all the problems? It was the same with Ten Hag.

There are problems all over the pitch in that team. Just calling out 1 player, and making him out to be THE problem is not the solution.

I agree Martinez isn't great, but you could also point out at least 2-3 other positions that are in need of an upgrade. I don't understand this obsession with sh1tting on 1 player, making him out to be the biggest problem in the lineup, and how replacing him will somehow solve the issue. It won't.
He somewhat makes it up in other areas, though obviously mistakes leading to goal are unacceptable.

When you just focus on someone's errors and shortcomings, of course it will appear like he's the worst player ever, but that's not what Martinez is, is it?

Rashford was/is an issue. He definitely isn't THE issue.
Casemiro is an issue. Definitely not the only one.
    Onana as well.
Left Wingback is an issue. Dalot is good, but not suited for that position in terms of going forward. Do we call Dalot THE problem? No, because he makes up for it somewhat in other areas.

Besides, sometimes it's just about how well they play together, which comes down to coaching. Amorim still has a long way to go, because you cannot make a team, that's been sh1t for years, suddenly good in a month or two.

  2. He should be playing CDM. He lacks the recovery pace, aerial ability and discipline required in the back line. His ball playing ability is his best attribute.

  3. Whilst Martinez has definitely dropped off & is definitely causing problems, I do think that the quality of our wingbacks, (both defensively and offensively) is probably a larger concern…

Martinez is a ball progressor, he is not really a channel defender, tbh I think with better quality defensive left wingback who could cover for him, I still think he potentially has a spot in this squad.

But that raises the larger issue of what do you want your wingbacks to specialise in, attack or defence? Because an attacking wingback definitely could not cover for Martinez – so his utility in our squad would only really come around in a more defensive set up, where the wingbacks hang back, forming a back 5

  4. Man utd Fans want the whole 22 players change with sporting fc replacement.nit know sporting in Portugal league is like championship in England

Even Bolton wonderers wil trash Ajax and sporting.
That is how premier league is tough

  5. I have been realizing his errors this season but to sell him just like that is crazy. I rather sell maguire he was bought for a record fee and hasn't done much either. Despite his errors this season martinez is still a good player. When you have a flop maguire, old evans and didn't improved much lindelof. Selling martinez rn is absurd. I would get rod those 3 before even contemplating of selling martinez. Even if you buy better cb than him i rather have him on bench than those 3. Evans is alright but he is old. Lindelof and maguire had more than enough time to earn they keep and failed. The fact that they are still at the club is crazy. I do agree, though martinez is looking awful out there and at times, looks small af.

  6. Martinez is a brilliant ball playinh CB but he doesn't have the physicality required to play in the PL and also he is shaky in 1v1s.United need someone like schloterbeck or Bastoni to replace him.

  7. Martinez is physically a liability. He also has regressed technically since the injuries. If you notice his box awareness is Also horrible, can’t tell you the amount of goals we’ve conceded cause he didn’t know what was going on in his own box

  8. Your completely right, positionally, awareness, over aggressive and height all massive flaws in his game. To give him some credit on the ball he can pass through the lines

  9. I agree he has been defensively vulnerable
However I don’t think he needs to be sold
Maybe a midfield position is ideal for him
As he is very creative, like look at the amad city goal for example
And I’ve seen him set of so many attacks with his quarterback passing that I think it will be such a shame if we don’t utilise his on the ball ability to the max.
