In this video, we’ll be looking at some of the solutions Pep has to bolster his midfield. With a key injury to Rodri, Manchester City have struggled to win games as Rodri was the anchor in their whole midfield. Drop-offs from Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva,Ilkay Gundogan and the lack of fitness from De Bruyne have certainly not helped Pep’s case. Signings such as Matheus Nunes and Kovacic have failed to live up to City’s expectations which begs the question what will City do in the January transfer window to at least bring the club back to its glory days?

Well, they’ve been linked with 3 notable names in midfield in the likes of Reijnders, Wirtz, and Bruno Guimaraes. Whether City go all out to at least test the clubs into selling them the players remains to be seen, but the fact still remains that something has to be done in that midfield if City are to at least stand a chance in competing for even the champions league spots.
