    Not the right man for the job at the end of the day but to come out and say he didn’t give 100% is ridiculous.

  2. Christ, about as much brain power/insight as a housefly between Ambrose and Bothroyd. I don't think southgates was anything less than unconditionally committed, and that him deciding to leave would have further motivated him to try and win it.

    He was asked about it on Desert Island Discs, which charts a particular person's life. So this was obviously a pertinent key event in his life.
