Since he joined the squad, Celtic are over two goals per match (2.14, to be precise) better with him in the lineup than they are without him. The remarkable thing is, the split between goals conceded (-1.18) and goals scored (+.96) is nearly even.
I credit his presence for bolstering the confidence and aggression of the midfield and attacking players' press, as well as the quality and directness of his passing in counterattack.
If an attacker achieves 1 goal contribution per 90 minutes for a single season, he's considered a legend. CCV doubles that output with next to zero statistical attacking output.
No other player on the squad represents such a contribution. I've done the research. It's not even close.
