Gregg Berhalter’s USMNT lost 1-0 to Uruguay in Kansas City, confirming their getting grouped from Copa America 2024. Uruguay scored a clearly offside goal but in the end it didn’t matter because they needed a win and they didn’t even get a draw. Tac and I break it down.

  1. Time to get a SouthAmerican Coach and stop the BS that USMNT plays like Europe… GET PECKERMAN!!… PECKERMAN will fix this Sh*t. GET PECKERMAN…..

  2. He was never qualified for the job. We need to get a guy like the coach from Slovenia in the Euro cup, or any of the coaches that have gotten more from their teams instead of our guy who has talent and they play below their skill level.

  3. The sign was there even before they hired him when he fails in Europe , where his teams couldn’t score goals.. he wasn’t qualified to be the coach of the U.S. national team

  4. If you look at Panama's roster player by player and where they all play it is far from conclusive that the USA is better. One could easily make the argument that playing for a bottom of the table Premiership side is equivalent to someone playing in Russia or some other less than top league. Or even being a "squad player" at a big club doesnt make the guy a great player. Was David May a great player? Was Jordi Cruyff a great player? Was Karl Poborsky a great player? No, no and no.

  5. Here's a sobering fact: USA Cricket got further at the T20 World Cup than USMNT did at Copa. USA Cricket beat a top team in Pakistan while the current USMNT hasn't beaten a top team at all yet. USA Cricket did that with a team of semi-professionals with day jobs while USMNT's supposed golden generation just got grouped on home soil in a group with Panama and Bolivia. USMNT is a straight up embarrassment to the country right now.

  6. US soccer will never be up there with the greats. EVER ! It’s because we don’t run the game the same as in Europe. Americans soccer is garbage we get hyped when we beat Mexico the worst generation of players from Mexico by the way. We need an all new federation from the ground up.

  7. The problem you guys are blowing past is the BS equal pay thing which limits the coaching pool for US men’s soccer, unless their willing to pay the same on the women’s side

  8. There is only one player that I truly think is not good enough to start for us and that’s Turner . He does not have the footwork needed for todays game

  9. When I tell people I watched the USMNT games, it’s like admitting I got back together with that girlfriend that’s bad for me and we’ve broke up and got back together ten times.

  10. Love what you and Tac do Pete. If Berhalter stays I’m gonna have to take a break until the World Cup, and if you guys decide it’s not worth it for u to cover this BS anymore I understand. It’s sad how Couva had 0 impact on this federation, that should have been such a pivotal moment and nothing has changed

  11. I bought my boyfriend a Pulicic national jersey but it was too small; I was in the process of exchanging it when they lost against Uruguay and he said ā€œdon’t bother, just return itā€.

Side note: Americans love boasting about their cultural/geographic ignorance (ā€œI didn’t even know Oman was a country, how did we lose to them!ā€). These statements aren’t a flex, they only expose how uneducated we are 🫠

  12. Watching the both of you vent out your frustration helps numb the pain a bit. Only the both of you and Alejandro Moreno keep it šŸ’Æ about the state of the team. Thank you guys for dedicating your time to do what you do. Respect to both of you !

  13. Diego Luna, Cade Cowel, Rokas, Pukstas, Dorde Mihailovic, Esmir Bajraktarevic, Jack McGlynn, John Tolkin, Bryan Reynolds, Jackson Hopkins, Paxten Aaronson to name a few.

  14. Winning in CONCACAF is not a merit, that's the main issue. Winning a Copa de oro is bullshit and people in that federation is delusional, you are not at the level of CONMEBOL.

  15. This two guys are a joke. They know as much about football as my grandma knows about aeronautics. I love listening to their delusional and chaldish arguments.

  16. Thank you guys. You two are the best representation for US Soccer. Pete, I wore the US shirt you sold for the World Cup to the match in Kansas City in support. Cheers.

  17. This is the "fools Gold Generation." A pool of talented players who, before they accomplished anything, were treated like royalty. Now, what we have is a bunch of soft players that are easily goaded into getting red cards, are to stubborn to adapt to any play, and who arent afraid of losing.
Enough is enough though, I cant continue to support them.

  18. Ok. I'm a Canadian but honestly expected the US to progress out of this group. No shame in losing to Uruguay. They are a bonafide power on the world stage and always have been. You should expect a strong team from a country sandwiched between Argentina and Brazil. But Panama and Bolivia are nobodies, Panama 43rd and Bolivia 84th. Very disappointing. I don't think you blame the players, though. It's all on the coach, especially in soccer. Look at what coaches get out of their teams in the EURO cup if you want an education in maximizing potential. What I don't understand is how a team expects to generate offence without attacking the box. Get your players in there. That's where you draw penalty kicks and that's where a lucky bounce leads to a goal. U.S. failed to create chances because everyone is sitting back expecting someone else to do the job. And if players are being disciplined by the coach for going to the box too much, well….get a new coach.

  19. I’m American my favorite sports are football, basketball, baseball, hockey, then soccer. In that order. I would say some Americans don’t even have soccer in their top 5 sport to watch or play. It’s just not popular enough in the USA. But my heart pumps hard watching any sport when we have that USA jersey on. I hope we get better to compete with the rest of the world soon. I think we could find better faster players with better passing no doubt. We just don’t have the ball control or amount of shots on goal we need to really make a run. We need to be attacking a lot more. I played soccer in high school. I had 2 coaches. One was high energy and encouraging and we were great. One was horrible and just said we sucked and called us bad names and we did horrible that year. Coaching definitely helps in soccer.

  20. People need to stop automatically pointing the finger at Greg. I'm not the biggest fan of him but at the end of the day it's the players that are out there on the field not him. If it wasn't for Tim Weahs massive mistake we wouldve moved on in this tournament and had a legit chance of making it to the Final in my honest oppinion

  21. @mamjam22 Yes we can admit these shit USMNT players are not great. We can go further than that and admit they’re outright garbage. What would a new coach do? Polish the turd?

  22. Great stuff! Born and raised a Chicago Bulls fan. Were my favorite team forever in any sport. But I haven't watched a game in 3 years because their owner gives zero fucks about anything except money. It's getting to that point with this USMNT!
