Both teams from Croatia and Morocco have done relatively well in this tournament,
having sent off a number of more fancied teams in the Round of 16 and quarter finals, including former World Cup champions.
In this 3rd place play-off, the two goals by Croatia were very good.
From his (mis)position, there's no way the Moroccan goalkeeper could stop them.
Despite the vehement protests by Moroccan players to the referee, the penalty denied of Morocco was justified;
TV replays clearly showed that the Croatian defender was aiming for the ball, not at the Moroccan attacker.
Perhaps, Moroccan players have allowed their disappointments (losing to France in the semis and denied of penalty in this match) to affect their morale.
But they can still hold their heads high with dignity and pride.
For an African nation to reach 4th placing, this is unprecedented in World Cup history.
Well done, Moroccan team!
