      Welsh people love losing. Being the valiant underdogs etc etc. It always confused me, when I lived there. They have a real chip on their shoulder and there is a lot of resentment – it's almost like, if Wales was ever a successful country, they would have nobody to blame/hate, so they never want to be successful 🥱😭🥱

      I am a Chechen by nationality, I moved to the USA due to political persecution in Russia, my republic is located in the North Caucasus, my people today are part of Russia and for the last 400 years we have been trying to get rid of this empire of evil and invaders, the last time we fought against Russia in 90s, 10 years my people, which then numbered only 1 million people, waged war against the heirs of the Soviet Union with all their weapons, aviation, artillery, tanks, having only machine guns, so I, as a Chechen, a representative of a small but very proud people , like no one else in the world, I feel all the pain of the Welsh people in this song, I equally feel both pride and pain for the lost brothers and pleasant hopes for a great future.

      i am English , but proud to have served in the Welsh guards . this song to me is better than Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau . ( national anthem ). if this song doesn't get you going , then you are stone cold .

      the Welsh language is the oldest language in the British isles . English is a mixture of every bloody language in the world .

      Wonderful soaring jubilant song! Outside of the UK it's maybe not so well known that the Welsh are The Singers of our land. No idea how or why but they all seem to be good singers. 🤩

      Always loved Wales for it's beauty, it's people and all it's given the world, and cannot believe I didn't know about this song until last week – can't stop singing it, get goosebumps and close to tears every single time. Long live Dafydd and long live Wales!

      for anyone wandering this song is about the survival of wales, the chorus is: Ry'ni yma o hyd – we are still here, Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth – despite everyone and everything

      i do not knopw if anyone has noticed, but, not including the chorus, the people only know just TWO parts of this song, the first verse and later in the song, when he sings, mewn iaith, gymraeg yn fyw haha, none of us welsh, well, most of us welsh, do not really know the rest, only a few of us do, i wish i was 1 of them haha
