A world-class strike from 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri was the highlight of our comfortable win over Preston North End to secure a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Our academy product picked out the top corner from 20 yards to cap another wonderful display, following up his brace in the previous round.

Gabriel Jesus had earlier given us the lead when he thumped home his first of the season from Jakub Kiwiorโ€™s knock down and substitute Kai Havertz headed in a third in the second-half.

It was a comprehensive way to book our place in the last eight, and start a run of four away games in the perfect fashion.

  1. Nwaneri is really great. But all these people moaning he isnt atarting enough etc. there is a balance that needs to be had introducing a player that young. The scruitiny they can come under, its not just about them being able to compete on the pitch. I am sure arsenal are managing it in a way that is best for all parties

  2. I'm quietly pumped to watch Kiwior finally play in his natural position for the next how many games. There is a player there. He just needs a proper chance.

  3. I honestly don't know why people be hating on sterling…He's a baller…Arteta should trust him more to use him in matches….If he can play havertz into form, I see no reason why sterling can't cause problems for teams and again this Ethan Kid has to be playing now…I don't know what else this kid has to do to start…He's neat on the ball…and his finishing is outrageous…

  4. Awesome game by Nwaneri, such a beautiful goal. Glad to see Gabriel Jesus scoring again, he's been solid. Sterling was hungry for a goal the poor man kfkfkk too bad it didn't happen, he played reall well too. Great formation today, I love this team. Also glad to see Zinny back!!! COYG!

  5. Nwaneri is the only alternative to ร˜degaard, when he plays the team runs more and then sees the opponent's goal more than the others, 3 goals in 2 games… Arteta's idiot when he decides to let him play in important matches? Before it's too late

  6. For God's sake, why is not Nwaneri getting the chance to the starting 11, while sh*ts like Martinelli are getting that chance to spoil our hope? Whatever it is, it is not fair benching Nwaneri while giving chances to Martinelli.
