I really don't understand it, but what's the criterion for winning the ballon d'or? Is it number of goals scored? Titles won? Or number of appearances? I mean, what? Messi 'won' it in 2010 but Barca got knocked out in the champions league and Argentina exited the WC in the round of 16!? But Messi, instead of Iniesta who won the WC that year went on to win it! How's this thing done? Vini scored dramatic goals, in fact twice than Rodri, and got Rodri himself knocked out of the UCL! So, how come he isn't the winner? How come Ancelotti is manager of the year and his club, Real Madrid is Team of the year but his player(s) are not on the ballon d'or front page? Hey, it doesn't add up.
