  1. I hope not, it'd be a mistake if we let him leave. There's unfortunately not much we can do if he does want to though. I say we resign Edin Džeko just for the hell of it!

  2. He stinks in the final third. If Gabriel Jesus played that much, he would have had double his stats. He felt forced in the lineup, especially when Haaland was out. Misplaced passes in the final third and errant shots. He's not a striker.

  3. Guys it's a myth that Alverez wants to leave for more games as he was the 3rd highest played player at city last season. Only rodri and foden played more games, he played 31 games in league so it isn't like many more games.

The information I was given is city wouldn't sell him for less than 90m minimum or 75m plus j Felix. Regarding who they would target i have been informed city have gathered information on Ivan Toney who could play with haaland, and in place of him, and as he is in last year of contract he would likely get sold towards end of window for approx 30m plus add ons, one to keep eye on, he is prem proven and homegrown so easy deal to complete. Nothing concrete yet just assessing him as possibility in market as decent investment.

  4. I’d say we would use a striker / CAM from the youth. Let’s see who plays well in pre season and that would help my point.

  5. Couldn't give a toss, the guy has a dreadful touch, his passing is awful. He should never start in midfield , his stats are decent but he is a bencher for Haaland that's it.

  6. Too many of our players are over played. Unless he really wants to go, we should keep Alvarez, and I expect him to get plenty of game time in what could essentially be, our biggest ever fixture season.

  7. If he does go and we need to replace, would it be a viable option to look for an older more established player that might be more happy to play second choice rather than another young player that would want the game time ?

  8. False 9 with Oscar Bobb. Or Foden. Don't think we actually need to replace him too desperately. Then Musiala or Wirtz next season as another option there

  9. More play time? He played more than Haaland in the league last season (only 2 players had more minutes than him). A bit arrogant to think he should play every game when he was bought as a back up. He came at the same time as Haaland and Haaland was obviously the preferred striker target. His stats compared to Haaland isnt all that either.

  10. Surely a more important discussion is the widespread news that Kevin is leaving if a deal can be agreed with the Saudi club . What is the truth about this ? I am getting very concerned with talk of all the departures and nobody coming in !

  11. Alvarez can be replaced internally, no need to rush out and buy someone else. The idea of replacing is old fashioned. When City bought Alvarez, he was not replacing another player.

  12. Like I said on that last vid you did JP, selling Spiderman is a mistake – not many strikers with his all around game – he s great for a Pep team.

  13. I love Alvarez, but honestly speaking City are ruining his career. He lacks confidence on the pitch, the players rarely play to him and he has to stay in Haaland's shadow despite being the better player. I understand why he wants to leave

  14. I don't think Alvarez's demand for more game time is fair on City. Who is he better than that is given more game time than him? Although Alvarez is a good player, I think the coach has very fair in terms of game time.

  15. I rather have Haaland leave and Alvarez stay. He is better for City!

Edit: Remember Haaland has a buy out clause which will be active soon and Alvarez is basically regen Sergio Aguero. If Alvarez goes (I hope not) what will City do if Haaland decides to leave next? This is short term thinking and will leave us in a dangerous position like United after SAF left. We also don't know if Pep will stay longer. Keeping Alvarez and making him the first choice striker and preparing for Haaland and his buy out clause (everyone will be wanting Haaland especially when a bargain of a buy out clause) is crucial. Else we will end up in the same situation with either Pep being forced to play false 9 and we have no aerial threat in the box like in 20/21 season OR the time when we were like PSG and needed a proper manager like Pep in 15/16 season should we lose Pep and this time after losing Alvarez and perhaps Haaland, have no striker. Don't forget the doubts about KDB's future.
