I'm surprised it's taken this long to come up tbh. Foden is a very streaky player and highly inconsistent. Has 2 or 3 world class performances where he's unplayable, then has 5 or 6 games where he does naff all really. I'd take Palmer over Foden all day long.

How did he win the PFA over Palmer last year, worse how did he start over him in the Euros? It’s patently obvious that he should be dropped and that a team should be built around Palmer, it isn’t a “lucky run” the lad is two steps ahead in thinking, which is why everything appears effortless.
This is why England will never win anything Foden gets criticised while bummy grealish is celebrated for terrible numbers
They compared rashford to saka, then grealish to saka, mo salah, vin jnr, foden to saka. Now they compare palmer to saka.
Only vin jnr and mo salah could be consistent
Imo Palmer should be the ten not Bellingham, he’s an 8 imo. Palmer is better than Foden so I’d play him in that creative role all day long and twice on a Sunday.

The stats show that Foden is a better player from a central position than when played off the flank where he gets isolated and passes backwards a lot. That’s where he’s been shoehorned into for England. I’d play him off the main striker and I think you’d see a different player.
