But he’s now made the transition from being a player that can be sacrificed out of position, to someone worth playing in their favoured position no matter the circumstances.

Although not a Madrid fan ( am rather objective about football) i have been saying this for the past 2 years Valverde has been Real's best overall player by a mile , he is a wierd mix of people like Ji Sung Park and Gerrard/Lampard or like a more attacking version of guys like Pirlo and Rui Costa with defensive attributes to boot dude is an actuall machine made from flesh

I have a Valverde jersey and I love it. He’s absolutely a great future captain as he has the quality to lead on the pitch and off of it.
He has to remain in the double pivot with Camavinga. Putting him at RB will be a terrible move because he's needed in the middle. Rewatch the Lille game to see why.
He kind of reminds me ramires from Chelsea. He was an all action midfielder. He wasn’t elite per say in any category but he was class or very good at most things. These types of midfielders are actually quite rare to find at the highest level. Most mids are specialists
To me, Valverde got the respect of many after that red card against Atleti and created a "you can't mess with him now" type. I mean Diego Simeon tap on his head as he was exiting as if to say "I would done that as well".

Fede Valverde has been my favourite RM player for the past 3years.
Fede's club legend status was sealed years ago in the 2020 Super Cup final against Atleti. That last man challenge to prevent Morata from scoring in ET remains my favourite moment from him, hands down.
