  1. Raphinha has surprised me the most under Hansi Flick. Xavi did not know how to get the best of him. I expected same form if Barcelona had bought Jaoao Felix. His potaincials was not harnessed enough.

  2. I am scared for the el clasico. I know madrid ain’t the best right now but if you remember last season where Xavi instructed Kounde to pocket Vini he smoked him every time. I am afraid we will see that duel again and that’s cares me a lot

  3. Few years ago we would all be rattling and nervous at times like this. Knowing our next 3 games would be against Sevilla, Bayern and then real madrid.

I love the confidence that there is in in us facing these teams. Thanks to flick and players ❤❤❤

  4. Now I not criticizing the kid but for real though Jamal really could have done better in that alves game cause he has performed way better in way more competitive games and this game wasn't all that just saying

  5. I feel like everyone’s going to say Raphinha as the player that surprised the most so i’m going to give an honorable mention to Inigo Martinez. I knew he was good at Bilbao and for Barca last season. But this season he seems like a new force in our backline to reckon with. Even when our injured players return, it would be hard to overlook Inigo

  6. Yamal want more from himself, this kid will be a Legend,These type of players we need in Barca, you should push yourself,Yamal you keep earning my respect and honour day by day❤❤🙏🙏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌

  7. Jamie should really stop constantly refering to the Osasuna-rotation as something that HAD to happen. This is, I believe, the fifth or sixth time since that match, I've heard him say it, almost as if it was unavoidable.

Let's make one thing absolutely clear. It wasn't. In fact, that is not how you rotate at all. You do NOT rotate five of your best players all at once, especially when you are already dealing with an injury-roster of 8 key players, most of whom are sure starting-11. That means that you let youself (willingly) play without THIRTEEN of your best players, in a difficult away game at Osasuna.

I said it before, but I'll say it here again: rotating should NEVER cost you 3 points on purpose! Now, before people will lose their minds over me writing "they did it on purpose", let me clarify, that of course I don't think they actually willingly wanted to lose the game… However, realistically and logically, it was the only viable outcome, when looking at that starting lineup. It was Barca Athletic + Pedri in a very difficult away game. As soon as I saw that lineup, I knew instantly we were fucked. As did so many others. There was no other way. We were completely hammered, and Osasuna could easily have scored 7 or even 8 goals that night.

This is not how rotate is done. You don't sacrifice 3 points just to rotate (something we didn't even succeed in, because Flick had to bring them on anyways, because we were getting thrashed). We didn't have to rotate five players all at once, when half the team already consists of inexperienced talents, due to the many key injuries. You rotate maybe 2 players at a time, so that you don't make your entire team disjointed.

Furthermore, the game before Osasuna was a home-game against Getafe. Surely that was a much better game to make nessesary rotations. But even then, you dont make 5 at once. Instead, Flick played his best eleven.

I would add an important notion when it comes to rotating, because it is not solely about sparing players altogether, but rather "managing minutes". In the weeks leading up the the Getafe game, Barca had a fantastic run of games, and they were banging in goals constantly. How many times did we see the likes of Lamine Yamal play the full game, despite Barca leading by three, four or five goals… the answer is many. The same with other key players as well. They stayed on for the whole 90 minutes, when it would probably have been more beneficial to sub them, and keep them fresh.

Then along comes this difficult Osasuna game, and all of a sudden Barca needs to rotate every single key player (minus Pedri and Raphinha), because they have (apparently) played too many minutes, thus sacrificing 3 points on the holy alter of rotation…

Rotating should, ideally, not cost you points. Getting the points is the single most important thing in football, because if you don't get them, others will (yes, i'm thinking about Real Madrid), and the team Barca fielded against Osasune was never gonna get as much as a single point…. and again, they were not even rested anyway because Flick had to bring them on, when the game was almost lost, to avoid embarrasment.

Alternatively, if it absolute had to be the Osasuna game, a much better way to rotate, would be to at least start with a strong team, making sure we didn't throw away the points, and then maybe, as had been the case so many times during the season prior to that game, if we had gained a comfortable lead, we could make the nessesary substitution, in order to manage their minutes.

That is how you do it. That is how every other top-club in Europe do their rotating (or managing minutes). What Flick decided to do was wrong, and it was clear to everyone who witnessed that game.

Don't get me wrong! I love Hansi Flick. What he did at Bayern was outstanding, and he was my dream-candidate for Barca manager already last summer. Way before Barca even contemplating hiring him. I was soo happy when they finally did get him this summer, and I'm still happy about it. He has been perfect. In fact, the rotation slip-up against Osasuna (and the overall planning of managing minutes), has been his one and only mistake so far. And it even seems like he has already learned from it, which recent late-game substitution of the front-trio + Pedri, is evidence of.

I just get annoyed when people defend the extreme Osasuna rotating as something that had to happen. It's just wrong, because we didn't have to throw that game at all. Flick overextended his hand, clearly and obviously, and the snake bit it so easily, and predictably.

  8. Araujo has for years been our Best player when playing highline. I dont get why peopel are happy. I Think just like the other players he Will be fantastic at offside traps aswell. No one Can get past him and he Will cover for the others like he always do
