Following on from Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest there was a lot to discuss on episode 187 of All You Can Eat Chelsea. Madueke, Jackson, Enzo, Sanchez & Colwill all discussed. As well as the overall feeling heading into the international break.

  1. when we win we moan that we did not beat anyone good, when we play well and draw we moan that we should have won ; i dunno man after 2 years it just feels good to see some goals and 3 points, baba put that right we have had a veery good start to the season

  2. You cant simply compare Enzo at Chelsea and playing for Argentina. At Argentina he usualy plays in a different setup and formation. Maresca Ball is pretty damn different to that. At Chelsea Enzo has far more responsability on the pitch. Maresca tried with some success to offload some of Enzo´s duties. Often times you can see Cucurella more inverts into a left sided 10. Linking up with Sancho. Doing the overloads. Over and underleap to give Sancho more room on the wing. While Enzo stayed a bit deeper. Cucurella is better in both ball recovery and pace/speed. Sometimes Enzo droped even into the LB Position and started build up from there. A bit like Kroos did at the Euros for Germany. So in transitions its much easier for Enzo to get involved into defending He simply doesnt get outpaced and "overrun".

  3. I can’t agree with you comparing Caciedo with Kante or matic because the players along side those teams are completely different , they played defense and dropped back . We don’t really see Palmer , mandueke, mydrrk playing much defense

  4. I would love to hear you guys talk about how Enzo is being used and the structure of the midfield. Maresca has said Enzo is the only player who can defend as a 6 and attack as a 10. The issue we are having is that when in possession Enzo is the one receiving in the half spaces instead of passing into them. He is best when he is the on breaking the lines. Is there a chance we can flip caicedo and Enzo’s roles? Caicedo has the legs to recover from the 10 space in transition and Enzo is better than caicedo at breaking lines and building up. The way we play now, the fullback joins the pivot and one of the midfielders joins the front 5

  5. I think a lot CFC and rival fans are too harsh on EF. If he cost 12m pounds, he would be considered elite. It’s just his price tag, brothers. He is a pivotal player in the Argentina national team and a world cup champion. These price tags are clouding the reasons of football fans.

  6. What did Enzo do wrong in the game for you to think he is a defensive liability? We conceded from a set piece and in the last game our own mistakes outside of him.

  7. The crux of the problem, is that we don't have a Matic/Rodri type player in midfield.

So, Enzo will always be hung out to dry, Cesc had Matic, Kova and Jorginho had Kanté, Caicedo isn't the finished product yet, but he has shown Kanté'esque glimpses.

Lavia must step up, and if he can't do that, then we must get someone to replace either Enzo or Lavia.

  8. Lavia is better than Enzo. Maresca ought to pair him with Caicedo in the middle the sooner the better and Jackson should concentrate on his football instead 🇸🇯🇧🇻🇧🇻

  9. Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit about the Nations League.

These international breaks really kill the vibe. Moises always have a bad game after international break. Him and Enzo travel the full length of the globe with mad time zones. It's ridiculous!!!!

  10. I don’t think many Chelsea fans have noticed what we go through in a game. The players are actively problem solving throughout the game working a way to exploit our oppositions weaknesses.

That’s why sometimes gusto is in midfield then it switches to Cucurella and gusto pushes up, Palmer drops deeper. It’s why some games we have 40% possession others we have 60% it’s really difficult for our opponents to adjust mid game!

  11. I’m glad you guys had this enzo conversation, because it really needs to be had. I’ve seen him be one of the worst performers on the pitch multiple times this season and that’s not good enough. Unfortunately, we’ll have to persist with him as the club backed him heavy over the fofana fiasco and the fact that he cost so much money.

  12. dont know why is everyone saying Ward Prowse is the one pushing Cucurella into Maresca. Brothers its Williams who pushed him hence why Colwill was grabbing Williams after that

  13. Oh dear.. i think Nini analyzes football way more than these lot.
I clicked to see how they'd analyze Enzo's role in zhr team, I'm disappointed though..

  14. On Jackson, I hate this modern narrative that a striker is good enough just because he presses. I would much rather have a striker that finishes 90% of his chances and does´nt press.

  15. I don’t know if i am the only one noticing this but i feel sanchez does better when we have a full back tuck in the defend than when the full backs attack and sanchez is meant to be like the other CB while fofana becomes the rb

  16. On Enzo, its a fact that we picked up form and looked really good at the end of last season after he went out injured. Caicedo specifically looked far better when it was him who had the protection behind him allowing him to go box to box. What I really don´t understand is why Enzo is never benched despite lack of form and his constant trips back and forth to South America on international duty.
