we lacked some physicality and grit imo. But that can only be built over time
For me Fernandez drop off for sure.. but the manager has more responsibility for Him to point out what's his weakness. He even give him captain..so I hope to see improvement very soon.
I’ve been saying this for a long time, Enzo doesn’t have the physical attributes to play in the PL, he’s a weak link in midfield people want him to play as a ragista sorry you don’t pay 105 million for a player to only pass a ball, now he’s the Captain of Chelsea absolutely ridiculous, not once have I said Enzo had a phenomenal game but I’ve said that multiple times about Caicedo, I think we need to move on from Enzo
Just as I had predicted, the match was a nail-biter. A tactical game in midfield where Fernandez let us down. Felix was a better injection. The defence was pure cemetery in Nottingham. We were lucky to equalize. Liverpool FC did not have this luck at Anfield against these attacking killers from Forest.
There is a reason why enzo plays , when i watched the match i saw the way he pinged balls into the box on top of the heads of the players, its aerial pass precision that is why he plays
If you look at how our players play I have observed that Enzo Fernandez never really did well from the start. Last season Conor Gallagher help him out in a very big way. Last season when Caicedo and Gallagher both start together they just click but when Caicedo played with Fernandez then Caicedo too didn't play well. The coach should seriously look into Fernandez. That's my opinion but everyone had different opinion.

Also, Noni is a striker who plays on the wing. That was a perfect example of how a goal masks an awful performance.

Big up to the miz! After weeks of hypes & vibes from the manager & players everything came to a halt with that result against forrest. Maresca got that game tactically wrong. Maresca should take responsibility for that draw. Why didn't he go in for the kill when forrest were down to 10 men? The subs were way to late.Enzo fernandes is a conundrum created by our ClownLake ownership by making him captain for pr & now we're stuck in a sticky situation. Enzo is more suitable in serie A or la liga. Pace & fast thinking is his problem in the prem. Plus jackson possibly getting suspended/banned for the liverpool game due to punching a forrest player which was caught on camera. Maresca's tenure as chelsea manager will be fully tested after the international break. Let's see whether the "process" is working or it'll be the same old 💩! 😭
I think Enzo fernandez play well in 433 system, unfortunately we can't play this system with the amount of attacking profiles we have.
The Madueke conversion is all about, what do you want from your winger? If you want him to create chances for your striker (like the job was for wingers in the past) Noni isn’t the guy. If you want your winger to score and create chances for himself, it’s Noni
Despite Enzo not shining in recent games, his absence is felt when he's not playing. He's holding the link between players but not contributing in ways where his strengths shine. Hard to say if it's Enzo's failure or the manager's or the system.
Can we finally admit, people twerked for Enzo & had no clue what his attributes were w/the ball & w/out? Im still a fan of him. It’s just funny people thought he was some speedy midfielder. The matching Kova’s style has me weak, like how? 😂

What it comes down to with Enzo Fernandez is, what do we want from that fifth guy in the front 5 when we're in the final third and trying to work our way through an organized defense?
If we want a guy who supports the left side winger then he's not really that guy. If we want a guy that makes runs into the box to support the 9 then he's not that guy. If we want a creative player who spots and executes the through balls instantly, giving Palmer the freedom to make runs into the box then Enzo is just not that guy, is he?
What I would have liked, as I've stated a bunch of times, is Nkunku playing the forward 10 on the left and Palmer playing the hindmost 10 on the right. Still lets Palmer do what he does, lets Nkunku do what he does, gives Sancho more people to work with, and it asks serious questions of the opposing central defense who now have two very mobile not-quite-9's to keep track of. And both Sancho and Palmer can find either one if they're moving into open space.
Yes, I know changing a midfielder for a forward would weaken us defensively, at least in theory, but let's ask ourselves that unpleasant question of just how significant Enzo Fernandez' current defensive contribution really is? If he pushes forward then he's just too slow to get back in time for anything, and if he doesn't push forward then we have six players back and only four players forward, and no meaningful balance players for support either. Would a Palmer or an Nkunku just running back, occupying space, really be a significant defensive downgrade? I suspect the difference would be less than we might think.
Sure, we can sweep this particular game under the rug and just shrug it off as "we weren't clinical enough", and we were not, but failing to convert chances is normal. The cure for that is either an unrealistic expectation of clinicality or to bring more offensive firepower and create more chances until someone manages to convert.
I like Enzo in his first season for us. But he has stopped in his development. Now i think in La Liga or Bundesliga Serie A is better for him.
Enzo is poor dare I say it he is on par with Mudryk with stinker after stinker. Crazy at it sounds but look at the performances!
Mudryk can only run and sometime dribble.
Enzo can do long passes with the opposition playing a high line. Sometimes he can shoot from the penalty spot. Cant even compare to past midfielder cause he can’t control tempo or silky slick passes. He does non of that.
