Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on letting Aaron Ramsdale leave:
“Yeah it is hard, I was very grateful for what he did. We signed him with a lot of noise around him, we helped him to create the environment he needed.
“He won the admiration of all of us, and then circumstances change – this is elite sport, it can happen.
“Then it was difficult to deal with in a mature way, and we decided to part ways. Hopefully he’s grateful too.”

Arteta let Emiliano Martinez go too! No respect for great goalkeepers. Now he has his little Spanish buddy on goal. profiting from a great defence in front of him. Raya is still a weak spot. two good saves don't make a great keeper. It is a personality thing. Arteta clearly does not like strong characters like Ramsdale and Martinez.
