Brentford head coach Thomas Frank says Christian Eriksen deserves to play at the highest level amid rumours the Danish midfielder could join the club.

The Bees have enquired about Eriksen’s plans following his release from Inter Milan last month, although head coach Frank refused to comment directly on the club’s interest during his press conference on Tuesday ahead of their game with Manchester United this week.

There is a strong Danish connection at Brentford, with Frank and international team-mates Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen among many known to Eriksen.

  1. Great to hear honesty from the gaffer knowing that if Eriksen didn’t go thru that horrific event he would never be linked to a club like Brentford. No disrespect

  2. 1/2-2022 Brentford signed Eriksen! 👍That is the most win win win situation in sports I ever have seen! Good for ALL! Personally I will look forward to a braingasm of joy when Eriksen scores his first goal for Brentford, cant wait! Even the most lousy goal will be goal of the year!
