  1. I'm waiting for after the international break. Liverpool away, Newcastle at home, United away and Arsenal at home. That's our league schedule after the international break. We'll see where we stand after those four games.

  2. Remember Maresca managed palmer, sancho and Lavia at city. That’s why he knows how to get the best out of sancho, because he doesn’t look anything like the player at United.

  3. I watched Chelsea play Madrid in pre season in the US and you could clearly see the ground work being laid. Enzo in that role looked revitalized and the quality of players they have are great for the system

  4. What i like the most about Chelsea team this season is the awareness of the players, everyone knows what to do, and also the manager is a good tactician.

  5. Chelsea are doing well but I don't feel like Palmer is doing any better than he was last season. He was already destroying teams. Its a bit of a stretch to be giving Maresca that much credit.

  6. This is how you identify a great coach to think this was the same team last season with 2 new signings starting. Someone plz save my Club Holland United from Erik Ten goals conceded

  7. What happened to "chelsea are a mess", "Chelsea haven't bought anyone good", "chelsea just signed a Championship manager", "Maresca almost failed with Leicester","Maresca isn't adaptable", "Maresca plays boring possession football"…….etc etc.

  8. There are a few teams basically playing a 4-4-2 atm but if you ask anyone they'd probably call it a 4-3-3 or something. I'm liking it though. 90's throwback football. πŸ‘

  9. Its still way too early to form judgement on Maresca lets get to the half way point of the season. As last season everyone was singing big anges praises then what happened lol so far its looking good hopefully this continues during the busy period of the season.

  10. I also think the chelsea players are just way more comfortable with each other now. Theres a reason why Chelsea are gradually improving each season. If Maresca was manager in the first season of the Boaely era. he probably would've been sacked

  11. Can we stop talking about Pochettino?
He made this team ready for the next manager….
Do you think that the Jackson, Madueke, Caicedo Gusto Mudryk that came newly into Epl or into this team will be so ready immediately?even under Maresca?
Pochettino did a great work ….he prepared and readied this team for the next manager…. Just like Potter did for De Zerbi.

  12. Until the defence becomes consistently solid, they reduce playing out from the back based in the kind of opposition they're playing…They aren't properly fixed for a title challenge. However, there are very very good signs that Chelse are moving in a very good direction finally after a nightmare two years. But if they okay out from the back against Liverpool and Arsenal hey will likely lose. They need to learn from those mistakes against Brighton.
Stop being obsessed with playing out from the back.

  13. Its just 6-7 games. Fixed is a wild conclusion this early. At least half a season has to finish. So many things we have to see. How he handles injury to key players, rotations after fatigue. He has used similar tactics to win. What happens when using the same continuously is that other teams figure out ways to beat it. So adaptability is also not tested. Next few games against newcastle and liverpool will reveal a lot too.

  14. Am looking at 1:35 Caicedo was alone in the middle…. But I discovered the have 6 opposition players on view….we have only 5,of our players on view….

Meaning we have outnumbered the opposition in attack…. 5 – 4.

If we can get the ball to them by bypassing the middle we will be deadly…..

  15. If he put everything on under context…

Pochettino made serious use of this team…. West Ham we lost 1-3 away… Was our second game of the Season…. Caicedo only made his debut in the second half….or so Pochettino was still figuring out the squad… The only creative player in that squad Chukwuemeka got injured in the first half … We haven't signed Palmer in that match..

Secondly, the position of Chelsea pass map in that last season West Ham was placed above the half way line…. Meaning we were brave with the ball …
The pass map position this season against West Ham was a COUNTER ATTACKING transition….

But Maresca was supposed to be the possession based coach that takes the ball to the opponent half
