Yanks who know nothing about football should stick to their own sports. Ochoa's a good shotstopper but he's far from the best in the world and would barely make it in the Premiership – he's too small and you need to be able to do more than stop shots in Europe.

It's taken Casillas years to get to where he is and the only reason he's as good as he is is that he's superb in the air for his size and his decision-making is spot on. Ochoa's isn't – hope that helps, no wonder Beckham's sick of America, you have no grasp of the game yet.

Who are these 'hundreds?' We have the best league in the world with the best players so our young talent benefits from the best competition. The captains of Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool are all English and there are good young players like Gibbs and Walcott at Arsenal who will shine (both are better than anyone in the Mexico team)

I miss when Ochoa was this great. He's not that great right now. I guess everyone goes through a rough patch, hopefully he regains his form. He better be at 100% in Brazil 2014.
