From Chicago’s Blackstone Hotel, new Designated Player Xherdan Shaqiri was formally introduced by Chicago Fire Sporting Director Goerg Heitz and Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson.

In a 30-minute press conference, Shaqiri addressed his excitement to be a part of the roster Heitz and Hendrickson are building, his desire to bring trophies to Chicago, and his intentions to uplift the young players in the Fire roster.

  2. You let him play in his favorite position, and you end up with endless assists and scoring opportunities. If need be, he will backflip or sommersault to create a kamehameha goal himself.
