I agree with you David it is harsh on the three players you mentioned, but even though the manager is very good at man management his fist priority is the team as a whole, and that’s why he gets paid the big bucks to make these decisions, In the past we would look at the team selection first then look to see who the ref is, but now after the team I check who is on VAR duty as they can hold more power over were the points go than the ref just look to the last game at tynecastle (a few dodgy VAR decisions in that one made sure the points stayed in Edinburgh)
