Chelsea are just taking advantage of the new rules and relegations. They are the problem. They need to be revised.

Doesn’t quite sound as clear cut as people are saying from all accounts Chelsea have offered him 2 contract extensions over the last 2 months both for 2 years plus 1 not a long contract as the others that him and Mason didn’t want, the 2nd contract would pay him as much as Fernandez and Caicedo and he had turned them down, he had also turned down a move that both clubs had agreed for 57 million. Chelsea do not want him to leave for nothing like Rudiger and Christiansen. You can’t blame Chelsea for that it is just good business sense. I don’t think you can blame Chelsea for this maybe Connor is not that desperate to stay otherwise he would have signed the new contract, he could still then leave in 3 years time when he would be in his prime.

Good luck to Conor. Unlike some Chelsea fans who want to slag him off and give him abuse and whatnot for reasons of their own, he gave everything he could to the club and he did not deserve to be treated badly. He is not an awful player, he has had some good games and not so good games, but what he always had was hesrt and passion, never sulked and disrespected the badge. Hopefully he does do well at Atletico and improves and will always forever be a Blue! Go and enjoy it at Atletico Madrid Conor!
Let's talk about last season:
was Conor a real captain, maybe not;
was Conor one of the most important players, definitely yes;
was he consistent, absolutely;
is his farewell related to the FFP, i guess so;
was his departure really necessary, not really;
were the new signings better that the option of keeping Conor, not sure.
In my opinion, during the years, Chelsea did a great job on transfer windows by buying/selling players under Abramovic and Granovskaia, nowadays they are just buying "i don't know who" and asking themselves why isn't working. Conor deserves more respect from you guys, Chelsea fans and those who think that they understand football. Just leave him alone, just because in the next season he will prove you wrong

First time I’ve commented but this call and discussion is a joke. James is club captain and Chilwell is vice captain. Gallagher was only captain because of injuries. Saying you’re looking around to see who is captain is just really poor research!!

Gallagher is an awful player, a headless chicken even. He has been regularly linked with my team and I have consistently stated that I did'nt want him.
I'm happy for Conor. He will thrive at Athletico Madrid, it worked wonders for Trippier's career. I hate to see him go because of his dedication to the club but it's probably the better option for himself and for Chelsea at this moment in time.
Chelsea have Caceido, Fernandez, Lavia, KDH that can all play that role currently. With any luck Gallager will return on a free transfer once his time in Spain comes to an end. 🙏

Conor was never that good to begin with. Fans are too sentimental but at the end of the day, this is a business.

Been a Chelsea fan since the 1960's. Never felt so little affection for the club. Fear Maresca is leading us down a path that is not the Chelsea style and how they are dealing with Gallagher is disgusting.
