roos had no one in midfield who could dribble through a defensive line. Nisbet and Taggs on the bench were the only possibilities but arnold never put them on and did not use all his subs. Alex Robertson is a must get for the roos because he has the footwork needed in the midfield

ANY OTHER MANAGER in the world would have been sacked immediately. To be fair the team is the weakest we have had in history but to loose against bahrain is unacceptable in any scenario.

Arnold “sometime it is down to the quality of 1 v 1.” Well Socceroos players have no quality period. Simple. At the end of the day the standard of the A League is poor and the standard of our players is poor. Results like this show this and the reason the sport is so stuffed up in this country. We need to be more competitive in this ever increasing competitive sport.

My guess is we will not go very far with this coach Arnold in this qualifier round. Our play style was so static and the game’s tactic was so simple and same in every game that any team can guess and prevent us from winning, ie passing around at the back to stretch the opponent out then long ball to the front. We need smart players with dynamic playing style to break down defence & counter attack tactic, which we will see again when playing against Indonesia. Irankunda, Mabil, Mitch and Adam should have more game time, sub them in for the last 10-15 mins one by one will not have an impact on the game.
Arnie has been a great servant but the time has come for change. The football is no where near good enough and we need to start reaching out to new emerging players.

Bahrain were absolutely pathetic with their play acting. The ref was also abysmal. Why can’t people risk the fine and be honest. It needs to be stamped out. Australia’s tactics were also poor until Nestory Irankunda came on. The two CB’s had most of the ball, sideways passing then a long ball on repeat, hoping to get a cross in from the wing. No creativity. Crap from the management.
Put nesroy on all game. The only time we went forwards was when we had him on the field. The only person who goes forwards and isn't scared to pass a defender. I was there last night and it was so frustrating watching these horrible tactics. Along with Bahrain players non stop crying but thats the game really, we had chances. Coach needs to stop putting on old players just because of experience, we are getting nowhere.
We don’t have the quality to finish chances. You can have the best coach in the world but no quality equals no result.
If you wanna play like yesterday’s game, can you beat Indonesia or do you have any ideas Mr. Coach?
