      Hopefully this is the signal of trust he needs to regain his confidence.

      He has been through the worst of it with us during our rebuild. He deserves a shot with the no. 10 at least.

      Edit: I also don’t get why people are saying it’s a mistake.

      Don’t we want players that wear no. 10,14,7 or any iconic number for that matter to actually have proven that they deserve the chance?

      I’d much rather have a guy like Martinelli wear the no. 10 instead of a shiny new signing just take it instead.

      Martinelli has shown his commitment to us and proven that it wasn’t just words. If anything in my eyes he’s done everything to earn his chance.

      I personally like that they don’t have a picture of Sterling. Like, how many CL matches has that man played, you don’t have his headshot on file?

      I wish I could say he deserves it, he doesn’t if we’re honest. Should be Odegaard or Saka or nobody at all.
