  1. Obviously solanke – if Richalson had got any minutes in pre season heโ€™d have stayed with in on left – the question is who will play on right and will bentacour play now over concussion

  2. lol. Solanke is the main striker and Son plays their when he is injured. My personal feeling is Ange will eventaully have Son Solanke switch at times during the game.

  3. A striker who specialises in finding the right place to be in the 18 yard box is exactly what Spurs need. Son is most effective on the left.

  4. Sonny needs to be a free role player and shouldn't stay on the left sideline. He is the best finisher in the Premier League and the top scorer for Tottenham.

  5. Play either or. It depends on the opposition. Keep it unpredictable. Last season Son was all over the center forward role that any team could just put a shackle of 2 defenders on him and boom, neutralized. Now with Big Dom in he can fill in that role, leaving Sonny to be such a wild card on the pitch, allowing him to move around, free up spaces and he'll be deadly.

  6. I'm sorry to say but that's quite the imbecilic question to ponder. You don't spend ยฃ65m on an out and out #9, which Postecoglou has said was the main gaping hole last year when Richarlison was absent for good portions of it due to injury (plus arguably Richarlison is not a true #9), and not play him in that role!! When Solanke is fit Postecoglou will play him in the #9 role as long as he is doing the business in training and making a case to be name in first eleven during game nights. Only time you may switch it is during cup games to give Richy sufficient game time, or if you want to switch things up tactically for a specific opponent. But as a general rule, Solanke plays in the striker role. Period.

  7. If Son plays as a striker, he's the main striker. It all depends on where he plays. Son's the best finisher but wasn't really getting the chances for him to finish stuck on the touchline when played on the wing. He takes more shots, has more goals and is good at linking up and playing through balls to feed players around him as a striker. It's clear he's better as a striker and if he's ever gonna play on the wing, he's not supposed to hug the touchline.

  8. I like Everton lineup, but front three should be Son-Solanke-Odebort. There is a rumor that Spurs is chasing Kingsley Coman, so then it would be Son-Solanke-Coman.

  10. Odobert was very impressive in his debut, working well with Maddison as well as on the ball taking on a defender. On attack the players switch out a lot so there will be chances for everyone down middle or from the wings. If Spurs can score more from outside the box as Bissouma did for 1st goal it will add more threat to opposition. Plus we saw Solanke take up the attention of Leicester's CBs and if he does that more consistently throughout the season Spurs will be a threat to score from anywhere. Even VDV dribbling box to box and laying it off!

  11. Did you not see Solanke stats from last season so much better than Sons. He was top dribble etc. This will be Son's last season in the starting eleven he will used only as a impact player the end of this season or start of next.

  12. Son can't play 9 lol. He's a great finisher, but that's less than half the job of a 9 in an Ange system. If Solanke is fit, play him. But it looks like we're saving him for the long haul. Son main, bring on Richy so he can adjust to regular playing time again is the only way.
