Thierry Henry’s time with the French Olympic team is over, meaning he’s a coaching free agent. Would he be a good addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s staff on the USMNT? And would he have any interest if it potentially set him up for the head job for the 2030 World Cup?

  1. This is an intriguing idea. I’d think Henry would want some confidence in the arrangement that he would progress to manager of the senior squad. I’ve been impressed by his ambition to learn and grow as a manager. He has a lot going for him in the areas of experience, knowledge, and communication skills. He’s very likable as a public figure, which goes a long way as the face and voice of a team or club. As a fan of Henry as a player, I try to keep my bias in check.😂
