I think this is primarily agent talk, but seeing as we can’t sell any of our deadwood, it’s not really a surprise that one of our other players might go. If we’re going to consider this, then I hope we deal with Manchester United in the same asshole way they deal with us.
Btw, I think there is a scenario where Tim releases this information, although it’s unlikely. If West Ham actually do want to sell Alvarez, then letting Romano know 10:24 he’ll be available for selection this weekend tells other clubs, especially Manchester United, that Edson will be ready soon. He’s recovered. There’s no need to shop somewhere else.

Treacle Toes…had me laughing. Like Rod, myself, and would love to see him paired up with Alvarez. But if we don't ship out 3 or 4 players to balance the books – Zouma, JWP/Soucek, Aguerd/Mavrapanos , Cornet/Ings then I wonder if the club will sanction Alvarez for a whopping amount to stay withing FFP (or whatever they're calling it now)…given all our purchases…

It doesn't make sense, given Man. Utd. have been struggling to bring in players without selling first. That's the reason why they are looking to move on McTominay before bringing in midfield reinforcements. They were trying to squeeze everything out of Fulham, so much so that Fulham moved onto to Sander Berge.
Unless we only value Alvarez at only 25M, I don't see how Manchester will easily be able to move for Alvarez without multiple outgoings.
