      Partey has mistakes in him, but at least he can do Busquets stuff to a good degree.

      Rice can’t.

      When Rice was playing as the number 6, we were forever passing between our defenders, no progressive passing, no tiki taka passing and he can’t dictate our attacking tempo.

      We couldn’t create any good chances, we couldn’t score and lost points. And then the fans blame our “finishing”, when those chances are very poor chances.

      Goes without saying though.

      For me, ability wise, he’s top 3 at Arsenal. However, he’s not consistent and too lax on the ball. I just wish he wasn’t as overly relaxed.

      Arsenal fans calling for Merino forgot this same Merino flopped at Newcastle. The constant attack on players by Arsenal fans is the reason they don’t win titles. City won’t do this to their players.

      Partey didn't do anything wrong. He had possession, and someone came from behind to take the ball. Yes, he made a small mistake, but you’re focusing on that instead of seeing how good he is. The coach clearly sees his value, which is why he continues to play him. And what about the mistakes Rice made?

      Partey had some bad moments no doubt. And he doesn't have the robustness to cover huge spaces anymore. But he still reads the game well and brings soo much to our ball progression through the pitch, allowing us to create good chances. Would have been better for him if Rice had dropped back a bit more centrally and given us a true double pivot in those periods when we were under pressure from Wolves.
