Arsenal could complete up to five transfers in the remaining weeks of the summer window. Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino finally looks set to arrive after the Gunners made a huge breakthrough with an agreement not being reached before August 30 described as a disaster.
Thankfully, after significant talks it looks as though Mikel Arteta will be getting his midfield priority. With further new signings potentially coming in, a loan exit for Fabio Vieira is something Arsenal are open to with the Portugal international struggling since his move from Porto in 2022.
One of the names to have been linked with a move to Arsenal was Kingsley Coman. The Bayern Munich star could struggle for minutes this season following the arrival of Michael Olise with Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane also at the club.
Despite that, the Frenchman was able to show his ability on Friday night and send a clear message to Arteta. Alongside Vieira, Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale could also depart with interest from the Premier League and Europe present for both players.

Arsenal eyeing another goalkeeper
With Merino all but confirmed to be joining Arsenal this summer, Arteta appears to be eyeing another raid of La Liga before the summer ends.
According to GiveMeSport, the Gunners are keeping a close eye on Espanyol’s Joan Garcia.
The idea would be for Garcia to play second fiddle to first choice David Raya leaving Aaron Ramsdale looking for a new club.
